Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga

  • Continuous flow of poses linking breath and movement. Comprehensive "workout," including many seated postures, inversions, arm balances and core strengthening "jump throughs and jump backs."

  • This style of Ashtanga is well grounded in the Ashtanga lineage but not taught in the Mysore/traditional manner. The “Rocket” and led Primary Series classes are set sequences that develop discipline but are at times playful.

  • Ashtanga strengthens and opens the mind, as well as the body.

  • Internal heat is created and maintained with detoxifying, cleansing and flexibility effects.

  • Ashtanga Vinyasa is great life training and it's the best training you can do to prepare for the myriad of Vinyasa, Power and Flow classes you may come across.

  • Ashtanga offers physically and mentally challenging poses in order to focus us in the present moment. As challenges increase we learn to let go of resistance to what is. We learn to breathe in the presence of what arises. As we watch what arises and let go of struggle, often the agitations of mind dissolve, settle, and our spirit begins to soar.

  • Appropriate for intermediate to advanced levels. Some yoga experience required.

Pilates MAT

  • Pilates is the “fine engineering of the exercise world ” because you exercise control, precision, centering, efficiency and balance, like some of the worlds most sophisticated cars, i.e. Audi, Mercedes etc...yielding excellent transformation when executed well.

  • People often say Pilates doesn't feel like a hard workout, yet their abs feel very toned and the body feels taller, lighter, stronger and decompressed!

  • Stretches are built in as you execute the moves with alignment.

  • You’ll experience a dynamic yet deep flow of exercises. Mental and physical alignment challenges will keep you on your toes.

  • Appropriate for beginner (with some experience) to advanced levels.

  • Pilates is therapeutic. It is one of the very best mind-body-spirit practices on the planet.
